Sol Lewitt Structure with Three Towers 1986
This work was completed in 1986. In my opinion, through the artist’s imagination of the human living environment in the next few decades, he was trapped by the square formed by the louvres, and the sunlight was mostly suppressed by similar artificial lights. Combined with the year, I continue to guess along this line of thought. I think the creation of this work is more or less influenced by the Chicago School architecture at that time, which is a modern city composed of monotonous buildings and spatial modeling.
One work in the All Tate Modern Collections
I think this is a perfect work composed of geometric squares, because different squares are divided and arranged in a perfect proportion. When appreciating from different angles, you will find that it is like looking at a minimalist modernist building.
